After discovering she'd won $1 million in Monday's Lotto draw, a Goulburn woman revealed her heart was racing, her stomach was in knots, and she couldn't stop crying happy tears.
The Southern Tablelands resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4176 on Monday and took home $1 million.
However initially, she had trouble believing her life-changing win was real.
"I was at work, and my husband was too, and he had my Lotto ticket on him. I'd heard someone won division one from the area, so I texted him and asked him to check my ticket on The Lott app," she told Lotto.
"A few moments later, I received a call from him, and the first thing he said was, 'Hello, Miss lottery winner! How does it feel to be a millionaire?' I was so shocked. I said to him, 'No way! You're kidding me!'.
"Once he convinced me it was real, I started crying, my heart was racing, and my stomach was in knots. "Last night, I cried and cried and cried - all happy tears!
"These kinds of things don't happen to us. It's just incredible. "I had a cup of tea to celebrate. But we will do something big once the money is in our account.
"This changes everything for us! It'll allow us to relax and take it slow. "We haven't done much travel, so we will be doing that! We're going to live our lives to the fullest."
Her winning entry was purchased at newsXpress Goulburn with owner John Stein saying he was ecstatic to hear a local customer had won big.
"How fantastic is that, and she's a local, so we're even more thrilled," he said.
"Hopefully, our winner truly enjoys her million-dollar windfall. We'd love to send her our very best wishes. Big wins generate so much positivity, so we're just waiting for our next big one!
"Good luck to all our customers. We hope you win division one soon."
