Although the result against the Shoalhaven Tigers at the Goulburn Basketball Stadium on Saturday, April 30 wasn't the one they wanted, there were still plenty of positive signs.
Following their 76-66 loss, Bears coach Eddie Teague said that even though the final score didn't go their way, it was their best performance of the season.
"We're disappointed that we lost, but that's the top team in the league at the moment," Teague said.
"If we played like this in our opening four rounds, we would have won our four games."

Besides conceding a lead early in the match, the Bears were never too far away from the Tigers on the scoreboard, but inaccuracy was a big reason for their loss.
"We had some opportunities to get within a few points and maybe win the game, but we just missed a couple of shots we would normally make," Teague said.
"You live and die by that."
Wins may be hard to come by at the moment, but Teague was glad that he could see an improvement week in week out and hoped the boys weren't too discouraged by the results.
"What we did and how we played in the game was a really big improvement.
"Sometimes you get your best improvement and you get your best games without winning and tonight was an example of that.
"I want the boys to understand that if you play hard, you can compete against anybody."
"Hopefully this will springboard us to some wins.
"If we keep on the upward spiral, I think we'll win a few games before the end of the year."
Bailey Stewart top scored for the home side with 20 points while Jordan Bandur top scored for the Tigers with 14 points.
The defeat to the Tigers put the Bears second last on the Waratah League ladder with one win and six losses.
They'll be hoping to get back to winning ways in their next game when they take on the table topping Sutherland Sharks in the Shire on Saturday, May 7.
