After a tense few moments, filmed by onlookers, the man released his grip from the railing and dropped into the apartment complex pool.
The average five-storey drop is between 17 and 23 metres.

The man then jumped out of the pool, dashed through a neighbour's backyard and along an adjoining road.
He was later found uninjured at a different home, believed to belong to his parents.
