The weed that's clogging Copford

Red Water Milfoil has flared up in the Copford Reach waterway halting efforts to pump water from it to bolster the city's supply.

Goulburn Mulwaree Water services manager Greg Finlayson said the problem is more complex than it first appeared, dashing hopes it might be solved quickly.

"The density of the weed is a problem," he said.
