THE death of Crookwell district woman Jessica Prell on Friday has shocked the community and prompted a flow of tributes for a person described as "a thorough lady".

Mrs Prell died suddenly on the family property, 'Gundowringa', on the Goulburn to Crookwell Rd on Friday morning. She was seventy-five.
She was the wife of Jeff Prell, whose family established the well-known 103-year old property, and the mother of five children, including Upper Lachlan Shire councillor Charlie Prell.
Mayor Brian McCormack yesterday paid tribute to Mrs Prell as one of the shire's "treasured people".
