For the first time in 11 years, since the amalgamation of St Patrick’s College Goulburn and Marian’s College in 2000, Trinity is not fielding a First XV rugby union side.
It is a disappointing result for the school considering the stellar season the side had last year, being narrowly defeated 10-5 by St Edmunds in the grand final and making the Yeates Shield semifinal.
Trinity’s Master In Charge of Rugby, Evan Rees, said there was a squad training in early February but unfortunately they didn’t have the numbers to form a team.
