Vying for her third term, Cr James is expected to face competition from possibly two other nominees.
“I really think this is a longterm learning curve, not something you can pop in and out of,” she told the Post.
“There are some really good challenges and other times it is really hard.”
Cr James acknowledged it was difficult balancing her real estate business and mayoral duties but said she was trying to make adjustments to better manage her civic role.
“I’d like to be fulltime as mayor but that’s impossible to do,” she said.
Among the issues she wants to pursue are Goulburn’s image, which she believed will fall into place without too many contrived efforts, and the Highland Source Project.
