“We’re going to give this a real shake,” Labor’s newly endorsed candidate for Hume said yesterday.
“My approach will be a positive one.
“I want to give the people of Hume the representation they deserve.”
The 38-year-old must also juggle life as a married father of three young children in his bid to wrest the notionally safe Liberal seat from one of the nation’s most experienced MPs.
But he says he’s up to the challenge of a furious campaign that will take him from Stockinbingal in the far west of the electorate to Picton in the east.
“There is vulnerability in Alby and I detect that people in Hume do want a change, they are looking for new ideas, a fresh representation,” he said.
