Significant artefacts of earlier buildings have not jumped out of the rubble, but Divall’s Earthmoving has dismantled enough material for an auction next month.
Timber, trusses, steel, iron, general building materials are among the many items to be sold at the January 9 on-site auction by local real estate agent Graeme Welsh.
Leftover furniture and fittings from Geisslers, which didn’t make the grade for the car dealership’s new Finlay Rd premises, will also be offloaded.
Divall’s is demolishing a 10,000 square metre site taking in the former caryard, Mr Welsh’s former real estate office, a café and a hotch-potch of sheds at the rear of the site.
