ON Wednesday, last week, in very windy and cool conditions 44 ladies contested the GNSW four ball best ball par event. The winners were mother and daughter combination of Shirley and Kelly Weir with the good score of +8.
Runners-up Chris Hobbs and Dawn Bodel on +7 and coming in third were Vicki Scarfi and Annette Smith with +6 on a countback.
The teams of Shirley and Kelly, Vicki and Annette along with Nic Downey and Maria Croker will compete in the district final at Federal Golf Course in August.
Nearest the pin on the eighth hole was Jean Dooley, at the11th Nic Downey and the17th Kelly Weir.
The TBP Bakery Voucher for A Grade was presented to Debbie Collins.
Ladies needed +3 to win a ball.
Ladies are reminded that the Jenny Aubrey Day will be played on Saturday, July 9. This is always a fun day and a sheet is on the ladies notice board for names.
Last Sunday the ladies organised a “Nine & Dine” fundraiser and 62 players competed in this fun day. Men’s winner was Albert Gilmore with 21 points, ladies Wendy Stewart 22 points, social men Andrew Stewart 20 points and social women Deanne Worboys 18 points.
Runners-up in each division were Tony Heffernan 19 points, Rona Hope 20 points on a countback, Justin O’Brien 17 points and Abbey Humphries 13 points on countback.
Nearest the pins on the fourth was Shirley Weir, at the fifth it was Dylan Downey andon the eighth Ian Croker.
Straightest drive on second hole for men was Albert Gilmore and for the women Deanne Worboys. Lucky squares winner was Darren Clarkson and Nerida Bowden was the raffle winner.

Last Wednesday saw 42 ladies play a countdown stableford.
The winners with the good score of 87 points were Debbie Collins, Heather Buchanan and Beryl Howe. Runners-up Chris Besley, Fran Kilmister and Ida Blewitt with 82 points.
Ida completed a double and also took home the raffle prize. Nearest the pins on fourth was Beryl Howe, on the eighth it was Maureen Hewitt and on the15th Debbie Collins.
The TBP Bakery voucher winner for B Grade was Pam Morris. Ladies needed 77 points to win a ball.
Three ladies contested the nine holes competition and the ball winner was Des Carter with 17 points on a countback.
Ladies are reminded that the gobbler competition has now commenced - sheet is on our notice board for recording.
Goulburn Golf Club Men
ON Saturday a very chilly start to the day we had 63 starters but it did warm up. The eventual winner was Graeme Nesbitt with 38 points on a countback from Darren Wilson also with 38 points, James Callanan was third with 37 points, Jake Mitchell was fourth on a countback with 36 points.
John Blewitt’s ball landed nearest the pin on the eighth and picked up the super shot with 169cm, Mal Maher was closest on the 11th with just 16cm and Adam Zagar was 230cm out, on the15th.
The ball countdown went to 31 and on a countback Garry Apps received the last.
Goulburn RSL Social Golf Club
Last Sunday, June 26 members played a two ball best ball multiplier. The winners were Dinno Andreatta and Phil Toole with 81.
Trophy and ball competion prizes were donated by the Goulburn Soldiers Club.
The ball recipients were: T James and M Hunter 74, Bob Stewart and Ian Toole 70, Mick Gray and R McNair 69, Justin Bramble and Eric Rumsey 66, Wayne Murdock and Danny Hogan 63, Roger Gann and Rod Humphries 58, Craig Langby and Chris Broton 69.
The Bradman pair were Brian Swift and Peter Rowlands 43.
Nearest the pin on the first went to Robert Todkill, at the fourth Roger Gann, the eighth Eric Rumsey, ninth Mick Gray, 11th Eric Rumsey, 13th Anthony White and 15th Roger Gann.
Next week’s competition is the Monthly Medal.
New members are always welcome, just turn up on Sunday around 7am for a game.

Goulburn Soldiers Weekly Competition
RECENT unfavourable weather brought the river up, leaving players to negotiate the longer inland course. John Peterson handled the conditions best returning 21 points to win the Goulburn Soldiers Club $25 voucher for the week.
In the rundown Tony Clewett 20 and Bryson Plumb 18 picked up a ball.
The 12 hole competition is great in winter, for players with only a couple of hours to get in a round, so come down and have a hit.
Sunday Competition
GARY Spence proved too good for the field in the frost on Sunday, as he carded the only sub par nett round for the day with a 66 to take the A grade medal for June.
Trent Cooper (71), Josh Cooper (71) and B Grade winner and Alan Bill (71) and C Grade winner along with Tom Heath (72) made up the rundown.
Josh Cooper took the Goulburn Produce nearest the pin while Lieschke took the same for Workers Club hole.The RSM Bird Cameron hole was not won.
Thanks to Tony Clewett for his trophy donation, anyone else who has a voucher donation to make please bring it in.
The popular par three event is on Saturday, July 2 with all golfers and non-golfers welcome to play.
Tee off from 8am to 3pm.
On Sunday, July 3 is a stableford. All recent winners are reminded that the Gordon Hotel prize vouchers will run out this Thursday so get in and use them.
Round two of the pairs event (Foursomes) is on the following Sunday, July 10.
Our AGM is on August 14 and members are reminded if they have items for the agenda to get them in before July 24.
Our great committee is after newcomers so for those interested please fill out a nomination form.
Railway Social Golf Results
NORM Woodward returned to the winner’s circle this week winning the single stableford event carding 41 points.
Peter Nightingale claimed runner up with 37 from Chris Grant, Norm Aubrey and Kevin Collins.
Wayne Skelly, Phil Malone, John Bowen and Bill Skelly all returned 34.
Adrian McTernan collected the last ball on countback also with 34 points.
A reduced field of 23 contested the day. Good golfing guys!
Tully Park Early Birds Ladies Golf
ON Monday, July 27 finally, after all the rain and wet days and course, the ladies were able to play 18 holes stroke and putting, Club Medals, Country Vets Championships and 4th Championship round, catching up on all the events for the month.
The winner in division one was Beryl Howe 75 nett.
The winner in division two was Georgina Cook 81 nett.
Putting in division one was won by Debbie Collins 30 on a countback.
The putting in division two was won by Judy Moran 31.
The ball rundown went to 85 nett.
Next week Monday, July 4 is 18 holes stroke and putting and Diabetics Association round and fee is $2. Duty person is Beryl Gray and tee time is 9am.
