Goulburn Multicultural Centre has and continues to be a meeting place and s source of information and learning for people newly arrived in the district as well as those from widely diverse cultural backgrounds seeking help and friendship as they try and fit into the Goulburn district community.
The service offers activities, classes in English, assistance with learning to drive, craft activities and a women’s group to name a few of the centre’s activities. Centre manager Henni Hardi welcomed the regional coordinator John Gunn and the many guests and volunteers.
Each of the participants in the fashion parade explained a little about their costume as they paraded before the judges Daniel Strickland, Brenda Shea and John Gunn. It was a fun night with everyone contributing something toward the festivities.
