The Soldier On charity supports veterans and helps them readjust to life after service.
They are going to be part of the selected 40 off-road motorcycle riders who are set to participate in the Frontline Safari's riding event which will be held in the Simpson Desert during the first week of September.
"A friend from Bathurst, who is an ex-Army personnel and now a geologist, told me about the event. He has participated in the event several times," Mark Herfoss, who has a civil construction business, said.
"I pitched the idea to both Ray and Mick and they came on board," he said.
Mark, Ray and Mick agreed that motorbiking in Simpson Desert had always been on their bucket list.
"The event gave us a perfect opportunity to do what we love and raise money for a good cause as well," Ray Baxter, who is a brick layer by profession, said.
It was always on our bucket list to motorbike in the Simpson Desert and this is a perfect opportunity for us to do what we love and raise money for a good cause at the same time.

"We get to share this experience with ex-military soldiers and get to hear all about their story. We will have so much to learn from them as well. It is an experience unlike any other," businessman Mick Beard added.
All three of them have been motorbiking for years and are involved with the Goulburn Motorcycle Club as well.
The profits earned by Frontline Safari from the five-day event, which starts on September 2, will be donated to the Soldier On charity.
The Simpson Desert is the world's largest sand dune desert with over 1100 dunes. The event will help the 40 riders to to complete a double crossing of the Simpson over a five-day period, raising vital funds and awareness for Soldier On.
A donation page has also been started by Ray Baxter to raise money for the charity.

"Soldier On has their own website but they also encourage the riders to start with their own fundraising site. They can search for my name on soldieron.givereasy.org and donate online," Mr Baxter said.
"I would like to thank the people who have made the donations so far."
"A target has been set to raise $5,000 by September 11."
