"Acclaimed acoustic guitarist ... and a very funny man."
US guitarist Richard Gilewitz is all that and much more.
And he is coming back to Goulburn.
For an entertaining start to the Lilac City Festival, check him out at the Goulburn Club this Friday, October 4.
Entertainment coordinator for the Goulburn Club Ron McLaughlin said Gilewitz has performed here earlier in the year and won many fans with his unique finger-picking style.
He is touring Australia again and dropping in for a show.
"He performed at the Goulburn Club on his last tour, giving us a fabulous ukulele workshop and performance," Mr McLaughlin said.
"Richard has toured the world and this time he will concentrate on guitar performance."
His signature guitar playing style delivers a technical diversity of banjo style patterns and classical arpeggios with a rhythmic percussive approach.
He performed at the Goulburn Club on his last tour, giving us a fabulous ukulele workshop and performance.

He explores the history of the guitar with sounds of folk to Americana, the blues to the classical, ragtime to pop, and somewhere in between.
As a youngster, he embraced such diverse artists as The Beatles, Andres Segovia, Kraftwerk, Leo Kottke, J.S. Bach and Arlo Guthrie top form his unique style.
Gilewitz also spins humorous yarns during his performances and is a seasoned raconteur.
In addition to his concert performances, his GillaCamp Guitar and Ukulele Workshops are inspiring and provide opportunities for music lovers to work on their craft and young players to learn finger-style techniques and tips of the trade.
Mr Mclaughlin said the Goulburn Club would be involved in the Lilac City Festival in a couple of ways.
"The GRUB ukulele band will perform in Belmore Park on Saturday and the Club will be open on Sunday for its usual afternoon Sunday Sessions, as well as Richard Gilewitz playing on Friday night as an opening event for the Lilac City Festival," he said.
