The address 155-157 Auburn Street was recently sold through real estate company Cushman and Wakefield for around $2,975,000.
Ryan Cross, who is the director of New South Wales sales and investments in Cushman and Wakefield, confirmed the sale.
"The buyer has bought it as an investment property," he said.
The former Huntly Arcade, now the Goulburn Community Centre, was put up for sale in the market in June this year.
The property was sold on September 11 this year and is believed to have been bought by a local investor.
It was scheduled to go for auction at Cushman and Wakefield's Sydney rooms on June 27.
The structure was earlier owned by local developer Robert Rampton and his business partners for over 15 years.
"The property has been sold and the settlement has been done," Mr Rampton said.
"The new owner has bought a good building and has two terrific tenants, Goulburn Mulwaree council and Bryants Bakery," Mr Rampton said.
The property is believed to have been put up for sale in the market since the mid of this year.
The online listing of the property states that the prominent 1450 sqm building is centrally located on the main street in the city.
It is fully leased to Goulburn Mulwaree Council and Bryant's Bakery.
The building is secured by local and government tenants with a net income of approximately $253,183, plus GST.
The freehold single level property is with access to a council car park at the rear, the listing further states.
His company had re-modelled the interior as part of an $800,000 overhaul.
The Goulburn Mulwaree Council has leased a large section of the property for community groups.
It has been paying approximately $140,000 annually, plus GST.
