For a man of words (in his profession as communications and business development manager at Goulburn Mulwaree Council) Jackson Reardon was taciturn about back-to-back wins at the Holcim Mayoral Golf Day.
Harry Falk was again part of Reardon's team for its success; and this year they added Goulburn sporting identity Kevin Kara.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council mayor Bob Kirk said the golf day, which had 49 sponsors, exceeded expectations by raising $25,000 for three local charities.
"I thank everyone, as 33 teams competed, which is more than we anticipated," Cr Kirk said.
"This has been our most successful mayoral charity day.
"It's good to see so many people support local charities.
"Around $25,000 will be distributed to three charities, which is $10,000 more than we have previously done.
"That's a great result."
Some 60 percent of the funds go to Goulburn Mulwaree Rotary Club; 30pc to Endeavour Industries; and 10pc to Lieder Theatre.
Riding for the Disabled also raised funds by running a raffle.
Some local organisations that entered a team included the major sponsor Holcim, the Workers Club, Commonwealth Bank, Goulburn Toyota, and the Hume Conservatorium.
Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman's office also entered a team and won a Wakefield Park V8 hot lap for their efforts
This was the 11th year of the golf day.
