A teenager from the Central West has died following a water skiing accident at Wyangala Dam.

Emeregency services were called to the popular recreation spot, 40km northeast of Cowra just after 9.15am on Wednesday after reports a 13-year-old boy was injured while water-skiing.
Police said family members pulled him from the water and commenced CPR
He was taken to Cowra Airport, where he was airlifted to The Children's Hospital at Westmead. However he died about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
A police media spokeswoman said the boy was from Orange. Officers from the Chifley Police District were dealing with distraught family members. They also spoke to a 45-year-old man who was driving the boat.
"Police are investigating whether the rope became entangled while the boy was water skiing," the spokeswoman said.
Police have seized the vessel for forensic examination. Inquiries are continuing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
