Here's a few ideas on how to spend the day during the Our Living History festival.
Mayor Bob Kirk will cut Goulburn's birthday cake at Belmore Park on Saturday, March 14 at 10am. Celebrations will include an address by local high school students and a rendition of 'happy birthday' performed by primary school children.
Next, take a tour of some of Goulburn's architectural gems. St Saviour's Cathedral, Garroorigang Historic Home, Goulburn Historic Waterworks and St Saviour's Cemetery will all be open for you to soak up some history.
Afterwards come enjoy afternoon tea at the community centre for 100 Years of Weddings. From 2:30pm Elizabeth Burnett will present wedding dresses and items from her vast collection.
Celebrate Goulburn Committee member Carol James said they tried to organise "something a little different this year". It is sure to be an enjoyable afternoon. Bring along your own wedding photos, gown or memorabilia. Cost is $15 per person and tickets can be purchased from Carol James Real Estate.
Finally, head to History Goulburn's research centre where you will find experienced researchers ready to assist with any enquiries about local history and to help you track down your ancestry.

Objects of National Significance
Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum, 10am to 4pm from March 13 to 16.
Objects of National Significance: When war trophies came to Goulburn is the opening exhibition in the new museum building at the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum site. The existing museum and the memorial tower will also be open. The exhibition showcases sixteen items of national significance that are held by the museum as part of the CEW Bean collection of WWI war trophies. The exhibition also tells the story of the building of the memorial tower and the history of the museum which opened in the basement of the memorial tower in 1927.
Roses and Heritage
Gallery on Track, 5 Blackshaw Road, free with exhibition continuing throughout March, on Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm.
The iconic Gallery on Track will have an exhibition of Roses and Heritage . Relax and enjoy taking a step back in time.
Shoalhaven River Talk with Phillip Leighton-Daly
Goulburn Mulwaree Library, March 14, 10:30am to 12pm.
The Shoalhaven River defines the eastern boundary of this district. The river and the surrounding environment bristle with history. Phillip Leighton-Daly will give a talk about the natural history of the river along with its associated tourist and recreational activities. The Indigenous and Chinese people, convicts, run-a-ways, copper, gold and limestone miners, cedar cutters, illicit spirit dealers and bush rangers are included. River tragedies, small schools, ghost towns and depression vllages also contribute to a most intriguing presentation.
Riversdale Devonshire Tea
Riversdale Historic Homestead, 2 Twynam Drive, March 15, 10am to 2pm.
Enjoy special refreshments including home baked scones in the unique character and grounds of an historic Goulburn icon. Indoor and outdoor seating. All proceeds going to the upkeep and restoration of this incredible property. Devonshire Tea at nominal cost.
WWII Areas of Conflict - Goulburn Connections
Mulwaree High School, March 15, 2pm to 4pm.
The museum will explore Goulburn connections in WWII areas of conflict with the army, navy and air force.
