A Queanbeyan-Palerang woman has returned a positive result after being tested for coronavirus while being quarantined in Sydney.

She was tested after arriving in the country from overseas travel. The woman is yet to return to the Local Health District.
"Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has confirmed one new reported case which have been attributed to the district at 10am on Thursday, July 9," a Southern NSW Local Health District spokesperson said.

This brings the total number of cases for SNSWLHD to 55 following a total of 17,633 tests.
A total of 3,299 tests in Goulburn, 1,137 in Yass, 666 in Upper Lachlan, and 4,652 in Braidwood have been undertaken by SNSWLHD as on July 8.
The teenager from Victoria, now self-isolating in Merimbula, is being attributed to Victoria figures.
Meanwhile, Southern NSW Local Health District has established COVID-19 testing centres and temporary pop-up clinics throughout the district, so those with symptoms may be tested and treated quickly.
A pop-up clinic is currently operating in Merimbula at Club Sapphire Merimbula, while the testing hours have also been extended at the drive-through clinic at South East Regional Hospital (SERH) Bega, and also at the Pambula Hospital.
The district will continue to screening all passengers arriving on Rex flights from Victoria to Merimbula, as it has done over the past seven days, with further testing taking place where required.
Anyone feeling unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat, is urged to self-isolate and seek testing.

It is essential people follow directions they receive about home isolation and quarantine and maintain COVID-safe practices of physical distancing of 1.5 metres, cough or sneeze into their elbow, and regularly wash their hands.

The NSW HotSpot Order has been extended to residents from Greater Melbourne. This means they can only enter NSW for very limited reasons, such as obtaining medical care, or fulfilling a legal obligation. The border between NSW and Victoria is currently closed.
The requirement for NSW residents returning from Melbourne hotspots to self-isolate for 14 days has been extended to anyone returning from Victoria. Heavy penalties and fines apply.
