National Parks and Conservation Reserves in the Southern Tablelands have closed until August 28 for aerial pest control operation.

The closure is listed on the NSW National Parks park website. The areas closed from Monday, August 17 at 7am and will reopen on Friday, August 28 at 4.30pm.
The following Southern Tablelands parks and reserves are closed:
- Mares Forest National Park
- Abercrombie River National Park
- Abercrombie, and Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserves
Other areas in the Central Tablelands include:
- Yerranderie Regional Park and Yerranderie State Conservation Area
- Turon National Park
This operation is part of the Department of Planning, Industry, and Environment's wildlife and conservation bushfire recovery immediate response. Pest animals to be controlled include wild dogs, foxes, feral pigs, goats, and deer.
