That's why Tarago Public School held its annual Book Fair late last month which also coincided with Book Week and Book Parade.
Tarago Public School's administrative manager Megan Watson said the theme for the Book Fair was Arctic Adventures and the theme for Book Week was Curious Creatures and Wild Minds.
"We combined the two which saw all students and staff dressed up in their favourite book character," Ms Watson said.
"It was great to be able to celebrate our love of reading and to share our favourite books.
"There were many amazing costumes on display."
Students participated in a variety of literacy activities in the week.

Even with the current COVID-19 restrictions, parents were unable to participate, but a great time and a very successful Book Fair still occurred.
The Tarago Public School is stocked with a variety of the latest books and students in year 3 to 6 were lucky enough to have loan access to a set of drones recently.
"All students had the opportunity to test their skills and all benefited from the experience," Ms Watson said.
"Next term the students will be working with PC Robotics including DashBots."
It is now the time when enrolments are open for kindergarten students hoping to start at the school next year.
Ms Watson encouraged parents to enrol their children at the school.
"We are a small school that offers the best quality teaching and have individualised instruction with an emphasis on student wellbeing, literacy, numeracy, STEM and music," she said.
