Former event directors Allison Briggs and Jennifer Wallace stood down recently due to unforeseen circumstances, so the weekly event will not be able to go ahead until a replacement is found.
Goulburn parkrun event ambassador Barry Smith said he was hopeful the parkrun would be back before the end of the year.
"To get parkrun back up and running, we need one or two keen and dedicated park runners to step forward and take over the event director role," Mr Smith said.
"You don't need any special skills, just a passion for bringing parkrun to your community and seeing the excitement and joy that people get from participating.
"It can be done by one person, or it can be shared by two people.
"Your role is really to manage the parkrun and make sure it can take place.
"It doesn't mean you need to be there every week, and you will have a team of run directors to help you out."
Mr Smith also thanked the former event directors for their work.
"I want to thank Jennifer and Allison for their amazing efforts during one of the most turbulent years we have ever had," he said.
"It has been a tough year to be in the role, especially earlier when we were forced to shut down."
Those interested can email Barry Smith at barry.smith@parkrun.com and he will talk you through what is required of the role.
