It's that time of year again. The council is once again holding the annual clean-out allowing residents to dispose of household problem wastes for free, including paints, chemicals, batteries, gas bottles and more.

The Household Chemical CleanOut will be held on Sunday, December 13 at the Goulburn Recreation Area between 8am and 12pm, and at the Marulan Waste Management Centre between 2pm and 4pm.
The council has decided to continue with the Goulburn event at the Recreation Area due to its growing popularity.
Mayor Bob Kirk described the program as a great opportunity for residents to dispose of hazardous wastes such as paint, gas bottles and chemicals for free.
"This event is held once a year and most items are not otherwise accepted at Goulburn Mulwaree Council's waste facilities so I encourage the community to take advantage of this event," he said.
Residents can dispose of household quantities of the following household chemicals and items, up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item:
- Solvents and household cleaners;
- Floor care products;
- Ammonia-based cleaners;
- Pesticides and herbicides;
- Poisons;
- Pool chemicals;
- Hobby chemicals;
- Motor fuels;
- Fluorescent globes and tubes;
- Acids and alkalis;
- Smoke detectors;
- Paint and paint-related products;
- Gas bottles;
- Fire extinguishers;
- Cars and household batteries;
- Motor oils and cooking oils.
This event is for household problem wastes only. Business-related and commercial quantities of chemicals are not accepted.
The council advises that due to COVID-19, all customers are to remain inside their vehicle at all times. All waste is to stay in the vehicle's boot. The operators will remove all items from vehicle.
