An intense storm over Goulburn on Monday night dumped 22mm in 30 minutes and cut power to homes for a short time.

The deluge began at 7pm on the back of a severe weather warning for the Southern Tablelands, Central West, ACT and other regions.
Goulburn Airport registered 22mm from 7pm to 7.30pm, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. A further 10mm fell from midnight to 9am Tuesday, taking the total to 33mm.
The Goulburn TAFE weather station fared better, with 46mm recorded to 9am Tuesday.

While Goulburn police didn't report any serious accidents during the deluge, 376 homes in a large area in the city's west, parts of Ifield and stretching over to Range Road had their power cut.
An Essential Energy spokesman said crews responded to outages affecting more than 950 customers in Goulburn, Marulan, Tarago, Quialigo, Boro, Currawang and surrounds.
Operations manager south eastern, Darren Basterfield, said crews were kept busy well into the night responding to a range of power outages and incidents caused by the severe storm.
"Network protection equipment activated at around 7pm after detecting multiple faults on the high voltage network. Essential Energy crews were immediately dispatched to fault find and repair the network," he said.
"Supply was progressively restored to most customers late Monday evening, however a small number of customers had their power restored at 2.16am on Tuesday morning."
The Eastgrove underpass at Blackshaw Road was temporarily closed. A Goulburn Mulwaree Council spokesperson said there were no road closures but operations staff were checking for any damage this morning.
Meantime, Taralga recorded 33mm, Crookwell 16.4mm, Gunning 46mm and Nerriga - 28mm. At Roslyn, Katrina Nixon reported 24mm overnight. Bungonia officially recorded 0.6mm but grazier Bill Dobbie registered 27mm.

At Bannister, Tablelands Farming Systems has recorded 48 per cent soil moisture to a 60cm depth. The area received 10.2cm overnight. In Goulburn, there is 53pc soil moisture at 60cm but most (76cm) in the upper 10cm layer. The city has received 117mm for the year.
The Bureau is forecasting sunny weather and tops of 22 and 26 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday and a possible shower on Friday and 27 degrees. More rain is forecast for Saturday and a top of 26mm.
