Harrison Cummins from Schute Bell Goulburn and Tom McGregor from Elders Goulburn will be taking part in the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association NSW Young Auctioneers Competition on Thursday morning, April 1.
The competitors will be selling off steers and will be judged on their clarity, diction, control and selling price.
This will be McGregor's third competition, third as a finalist and first time at the Sydney Easter Show.
He loves his job as a territory sales manager and that is why he takes part in the competitions.
"The part that I love most about my job is interacting with clients and working with livestock," McGregor said.
Cummins grew up on a sheep and cattle property near Taralga and that influenced his passion for his job and auctioneering.
"I'm a livestock agent and a part of my role is to auction off livestock in a sale yard setting.
"I like that it's a challenging skill to work on."
The quality of this year's crop of NSW competitors is second to none.
