Police are reporting an increase in garbage bin thefts across Goulburn.

On Monday, an Avoca Street resident reported their bin had been stolen the week before. Two other residents in Little Addison Street and Auburn Streets also claimed their bins had been stolen on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

"Stealing bins is not a victimless crime, its costs councils which then impacts community through reduced service delivery," a police spokesman said.
"Residents are asked to keep a look out for suspicious activity, return bins back inside your yard or preferably behind the fence and most importantly, if you have information about these crimes or see something occur, report it to Goulburn Police Station on 48240799 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000."
