Keep your kids entertained during school holidays with online events

Catch up with the gallery team as they work with council's waste department to bring you a video and PDF package to inspire a new life for your plastic waste.

It starts with an introduction with Hannah Gee to the work of Kim Williams and Lucas Ihlein in Gallery 2, whose work is all about navigating the useful and dangerous aspects of plastic. Participants can then hear from Hannah Cotton who jumps in from the Goulburn Waste Management Centre to discuss the impact single use plastics have on the environment. Sally wraps it all up with some ideas to transform your own plastic items into creative pieces of art.

Inside, Outside with artist Harriet Body

Monday, September 27 from 10-11am for kids aged eight years and older. Access is via Zoom. Cost: $5, bookings required via Eventbrite.

Whip out some items from your home and garden to create nature wands and collages with artist Harriet Body. Participants will require a device or computer with internet access, microphone, speaker and camera for this workshop. Before your workshop you will be sent a meeting link and details for the zoom meeting. Sally will be present to introduce Harriet and administer the workshop. Please ensure you have the below materials ready for you workshop:- a strong stick about 30cm long- leaves, flowers, grasses, twigs from outside- playdough (find a good recipe here or use your own)- plain white paper- coloured textas or pencils- blutak

All the programs are free and run online via Zoom. All supplies needed for activites will be delivered to the home of the participants the week before the holidays using COVID safe practices.
