48 of Goulburn's best touch football talents have been selected across four sides - the Jets, the Angels, the Royals, and the Stallions - which will participate in the competition starting from November 24.
Each team has a male and female captain, and six male and six female players in total.
The goal of the tournament, according to Goulburn Touch Association committee member Isaac Walker, is to prepare local players for representative touch football.
"In Goulburn, the touch comp is very strong, and this mixed grade will make it even stronger," Walker said.
"I think this will put us in good stead for picking further representative sides ... in future years, it'll give players that opportunity who want to play at the next level good exposure to what that level is like."
All of the sides named feature a blend of experience and youth, which Walker, who himself was selected in the Angels team, was pleased to see.
"It'll give these youngers players the confidence to know they're rubbing shoulders with some high-level players," he said.
"Sophie [Broadhead, the female captain for the Stallions] is an Australian player, how many of them can you say you've played against?
"When you've got Sophie, Ash [Mewburn], Abe [Kara], and Vaughan [Winnel], they've all played at that next level. You've got great coaches there."
Though this tournament was designed to help prepare future Goulburn representatives, Walker expects it to have an impact on the rest of the local competitions.
"When they go back, they'll be better players for it when they go back and play with their friends," he said.
"And they might be able to teach their friends some different aspects of touch. When you watch the lower grades, they're all trying to run around one another and this way it's a bit more structured.
"You find little nuances in the game which help you in the long run."
The Mixed Premier League competition will get underway next Wednesday, November 24. It will run for three weeks, with the finals set for February 6.
