Keeping the family entertained over the summer holidays can be challenging. The Library's Summer Reading Club is just the thing to encourage kids to keep up with their reading and have lots of fun at the same time. This year's theme is Reading Superheroes, showing kids that reading of any kind can be a superpower!
Drop into the library to register and collect a pack full of fun activities, reading incentives, craft, and games. Fill out a reading log to keep track of your summer reading and then exchange the completed log for special SRC shop coupons that can be spent on fabulous prizes at the end of the program.
From January 29, the Summer Reading Club Market will have lots of fantastic prizes available for kids of all ages. For teens and adults, the library's Summer Reading Challenge is all about rediscovering reading for pleasure and trying new books outside your comfort zone.
This year's theme is Read Around the World, highlighting diverse authors and authentic settings from 10 different regions around the globe. Register in the library to receive a welcome pack full of goodies and free participation gifts, along with your very own Reading Passport.
Each stamp collected on your passport is eligible for a lucky dip prize! Submit book reviews to the Library to also receive entries into weekly prize draws for $50 vouchers from Lilac City Cinema and The Bookshop Bowral.
Complete every page of your passport and submit it by 31 January for a chance to win Shop2580 gift vouchers valued at up to $150 in the grand prize draw at the end of the program. Sign up for a free Library membership at gmlib.co/join to participate in the Summer Reading programs, then collect your welcome pack from the library.
The Adults Summer Reading Challenge and Kids Summer Reading Club run throughout December and January each year. More information can be obtained by calling 4823 4435 or dropping in to the library to register.
