It will follow a funeral service being held in Wagga Wagga today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kooringal at 1.30pm.
Dr Keating, a former Goulburn dentist and prominent community member, passed away in the early hours of Sunday in a Wagga hospital. He had been ill for some time, according to daughter Katherine Klapdor and in the last few months had moved into the Home of Compassion, the aged care facility where his wife, Win lived.
Dr Keating was deeply involved in the Goulburn community for more than 50 years, most notably in education and the campaign over State aid for Catholic Schools. He practised dentistry in the CML building in Auburn St from 1951 to 1994 and was a member of many community organisations.
On Monday Mrs Klapdor recalled the qualities that drove her father.
"He had a very strong sense of justice and was willing to go into bat for causes he believed in," she said.
