Veolia funded the purchase of the smart board with the help of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant initiative putting $5,639 towards the cost.
SDN Lady McKell then set out fundraising for the remaining balance of $1500, making the purchase possible.
The centre has made plans to use the smart board to deliver interactive educational games and virtual experiences.
"The purchase of smart board was a goal which we had set in our quality improvement plan," Anna Lamarra, SDN Lady McKell Children's Education and Care Centre, said.
"It will allow us to access a wider community and introduce technology in a safe and meaningful way."
The smart board will also be used for parent information evenings and for the professional development of their staff and early childhood educators.
The children were able to demonstrate the use of the smart board with the NASA solar system exploration app.
"The smart board will be a fantastic addition to the educational program at Lady McKell," Kylie Brushaber, one of the parents present on the day, said.

"It will also assist with transition to school, as the children will be interacting with technology next year at primary school."
Mrs Lamarra feels that It would not have been achievable without the support from Goulburn Mulwaree Veolia trust and the fundraising efforts from the educators, children and families to make up the remaining cost.
"The purchase of interactive smart board was one of our long term quality improvement plan goals which enables us to have a resource that allows us to introduce technology in a safe, intentional and as an educational tool to support the learning and research for children primarily in their year before school," she said.
"This will allow us to offer a much more diverse way of learning and access real time incursions that we would usually be unable to engage with due to our geographic location.
"We are extremely thankful for their very generous donation."
SDN Lady McKell has a rich history and a strong connection with the Goulburn community.
