"I used to go to the reverse vending machine installed at Budget Petrol, but there is usually a queue there," Mrs Miller said.
"Several people here use these machines. Sometimes, I have to wait before I can return the containers.

"We have been regularly using these machines since their introduction in Goulburn. It is easy and a great way to recycle stuff.
"We think it is a great idea and are teaching our children about what they need to do to create a sustainable future. At the same time, they get to make some money out of it."
Since the launch of the program in the city, two collection points were set up. The one at Woolworths carpark was established in December, 2017 and another at Budget Petrol in April, 2018.

"Due to site works notified by the landlord occurring in the Woolworths carpark, Network Operator TOMRA Cleanaway was required to relocate the RVM to an alternative location in Goulburn. The machine was relocated to the new Lagoon St site (on the corner of Union Street) on September 19," a NSW EPA spokesperson said.
Over 22 million containers have been collected at local reverse vending machines in Goulburn, Yass and Crookwell so far.
Return and Earn gives a refund of $0.10 per eligible container which the community can choose to refund or donate it to a charity through the options available on the vending machine.
