Plenty of people went over to Leggett Park to interact with police officers, highway patrol officers and fire and rescue personnel while enjoying coffee and a sausage sizzle.
Mission Australia helped with organising the event and their South Eastern NSW and ACT Area Manager Daniel Strickland couldn't be happier with how the day went.
"It's been great to see over 100 people come to support the event," Mr Strickland said.
"We've been able to promote it amongst the Goulburn community and got people who may have been a bit standoffish in the past with police to come along as well."
Chief Inspector John Sheehan said it was a great opportunity for the public to interact with the police.
"It's a chance for us to speak to the community in a nice environment because most of the time when police deal with the public, it's in an emergency," inspector Sheehan said.
"If anyone has any questions they want answered, this is a great chance to do so."
Hume Police District chaplin reverend Ken Graham was also at the event and said it was great "to see that the police are so committed to the community".
