Sts Peter and Paul's Primary School is in the area affected around Mary, Knox, Coromandel and Robinson Streets. But unlike the last disruption, a gas leak in the area, children are on school holidays.
The energy provider confirmed that 98 customers were without power. The cause is unknown but crews are onsite. A council spokesman said lines were down and its workers had closed off Princes Avenue and provided signage.

It's not known when power will be restored.
Meantime, Essential Energy has restored electricity to 458 of the 471 premises in Marulan and Tallong that had power cut at 12.50pm on Sunday, January 5.
The Moreton fire which ripped through Wingello and Bundanoon on Saturday night caused the outage.
A spokeswoman said most of these homes were in Tallong and only 13 still needed electricity restored.
She said another outage shown on the Essential Energy website, around Clinton Street, did not apply.
