After the conclusion of the Southern Districts Invitational Tournament on November 1, which saw dozens of competitors flock to the John Lees Centre, the GTTC has been busy in the lead-up to today's club championships.
Round 9 In A Grade saw the Tigers defeat the Panthers 6-5 with Richie Jiang accounting for Mark Soley in four sets.
The Rabbitohs beat the Eels 8-3 with super veteran John Lees playing well on the night to give the Turner brothers the fright of their lives. John was unlucky to lose both rubbers having two match points against Michael Turner before losing in five sets.
James Turner also got out of goal coming back from two sets to one down and winning match point with a fortunate net ball. Another gripping five-setter went to Gerard Gray over Leon Jensen.

B Grade played two rounds this week as Round 11 saw the Bulldogs beat the Storm 6-5.
The closest match was taken out by Dave Howlett over John Gray in five sets.
The Pies defeated the Demons 9-2 with Elisa Chung too good for Phil Fraser in three sets. The Dragons also won 9-2 over the Sharks with Jacob Mauro beating Wayne King 13-11 in the fifth set.
In round 12, the Dragons continued their winning run to defeat the Demons 6-5.
Matt Dunn beat Kev Fitzgerald in five sets. The Jet Setters overcame Bulldogs 7-4 with Bob Philipson and Dave Howlett both defeating Nicola Fraser 11-9 in the fifth.
Bob also took out Harry in a close five-setter. Storm took out Sharks 6-5 with Dave Plumb and John Gray both sneaking home in the fifth against Joanne Dungey.
B Grade Table
