On December 1 and 2, the branch will host a pilot training program, DV-alert, with Lifeline and The Equanimity Project.
The workshop will teach community workers to be trained as nurture carers, and the confidence to recognise and respond to domestic and family violence. It is available to all health, allied health and frontline or community support workers.
The Crookwell branch of the CWA has partnered with The Equanimity Project to encourage women to help women, and help resolve violence.
"Crookwell CWA embraced The Equanimity Project solution," branch member Susan Reynolds said.
"It is something that can actually make a difference, is simple in its aims and there are similarities between [the] TEP model and the grassroots growth of CWA," she said.
"It really is a simple case of women helping women and I really hope that it gains momentum and support as this is a tangible action that women can embrace, receive an allowance and really change lives."
TEP is the first of its kind in Australia, seeking to provide safe and caring shelter for homeless women during the first few weeks following extraction from an abusive environment, with their children or a pet.

Call to action on domestic violence issues
The CWA is seeking a response from the government to stop the cycle of domestic violence issues.
It said the one woman loses her life at the hands of a partner every nine days.
"The statistics are not improving, the level of abuse is increasing and the fatalities of women are stubbornly high," Ms Reynolds said.
In early December, the CWA and Domestic Violence NSW, the peak body for specialist domestic and family violence services, will speak with the Attorney General Mark Speakman and the Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women Bronnie Taylor to lobby for change.
