The preliminary finals took place last week at Carr Confoy in bitterly cold and, as was the case on Wednesday night, wet conditions as Goulburn teams battled it out for the remaining spots in the various division grand finals.
This week will feature both the men's, women's, and mixed finals across all grades on Monday and Wednesday night.
On Monday, March 22, the fixtures include:
- 6pm: Men's Division Two - Touchy Boys vs Mi Mates
- 6pm: Men's Division Three - Betoota Dolphins TFC vs Southern Railway Hotel
- 6.45pm: Men's Division One - Bohars vs Pina Coladas
- 7.30pm: Women's Division Two - Feisty Females vs Orgen
- 7.30pm: Women's Division One - Nannas vs Wolf Pack
Meanwhile, Wednesday, March 24's fixtures will feature:
- 6pm: Mixed Division Five - A Medical Mystery vs Eat Our Dust
- 6pm: Mixed Division One - Pacers and Chasers vs Ball and Mane
- 6pm: Mixed Division Four - Foxy Touch vs I'd Tap That
- 6.45pm: Mixed Division Three - Sea Cows vs Tri-Hards
- 6.45pm: Mixed Premier League Reserve - Purple Cobras vs Godsquad
- 7.30pm: Mixed Premier League - Where's The Gold vs Redskins
- 7.30pm: Mixed Division Two - Try-fecta vs Inappropriate Touch
The GTA has also announced new drop-off procedures if scores are equal at the end of regulation time.
Under these new rules, the team that did not begin the match with possession will start with a tap from the centre of the halfway line.
Each team will reduce its on-field numbers to four players per side, ahead of the two-minute period of extra time. If one team is ahead by the end of that period, they will be declared winners.
If neither team has a lead, then play will pause at the next touch or dead ball and another player from either side will leave the field. Play will then recommence and continue until a try is scored.
COVID-19 safety procedures are also still in place, so all attendees at the matches will need to check in with the QR code which can be located all around Carr Confoy.
