A grant of $12,000 received from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust, as well as a helping hand from the school's P and C and year 6 students, made it all possible.
Goulburn West Public School principal Scott Osbourne said it was a great community project.
"The new sign improves our communication and engagement with families and the wider community," Mr Osbourne said.

"Our year 6 students have been raising money towards the project as a gift to the school just like every other year.
"Normally, they run a fun fair where they hold game stalls and students buy tickets to participate.
"This year though, they had a colour run instead."
The old sign only contained lettering, so the ability to put messages there was limited.
The new sign now allows for detailed messages as well as pictures of student work to be displayed.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust was established in 2004 to support community initiatives, with a specific focus on Tarago, the town in which Veolia operates its Woodlawn Eco Precinct.
To date, the Trust has contributed over $12 million to more than 1400 local projects.
The first funding round of 2022 will open on January 24 and application forms are available via Smartygrants.
