Motorist dies following single vehicle crash
A woman has died when her ute crashed 45km south of Goulburn on March 23. At about 12.45pm on March 23, emergency services were called to Bungendore Road, Tarago following reports of a single-vehicle crash.
Crookwell man found guilty of animal cruelty after horse put down
A Crookwell man who left his horse to starve, forcing RSPCA officers to humanely destroy the animal, has been convicted of an animal cruelty charge in court. Scott Miners, 44, did not contest the charge in Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday after his white gelded pony 'Jasper' was put down on January 25, 2021 having been seized by the RSPCA from a Cooma property.
Driver found with 'loaded, homemade pistol' during Goulburn police stop: court
A man who allegedly drove around with a loaded homemade pistol has been charged with multiple firearm offences after being arrested in Goulburn on Tuesday. Anthony House appeared via video link in Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday on charges of manufacturing a pistol without licence/permit, possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, possessing an unregistered firearm, not keeping a firearm safely, possessing ammunition without licence/permit as well as driving a vehicle while disqualified.

A man who led police on a 200km chase and car jacked two families at gunpoint will face sentencing later this year. Aiden Osborne appeared in Goulburn Local Court Wednesday via video link where he pleaded guilty to 18 charges including using an offensive weapon, possession of a shortened firearm, robbery, driving recklessly and driving without a licence.
Major bridge near Goulburn nears completion despite wet weather delays
Commuters in the Tablelands will soon be able to take advantage of a new bridge as construction nears completion.The much-anticipated Towrang Bridge project has entered its final stage with the addition of 40 concrete beams. It is hoped the bridge will help improve stock and produce transport, services which are severely impacted by heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding.
