Multiquip Quarries (CEAL Ltd) want to carry 50- to 52-tonne payloads on their trucks and operate from 5am to 10pm – that’s 17 hours out of 24 hours – leaving seven hours for locals’ peaceful sleep, less staff travelling for about 15 minutes before 5am and 15 minutes after 10pm.
Any fool knows that six hours and 30 minutes is more than enough sleep for people that live in Goulburn’s rural area for the rural tranquility, and it is only for 29 years.
Many babies born this year will have school-age children by then.
