I had this terrible nightmare. I dreamed I was living in some third-world country with the world’s highest electricity prices, and gas prices not far behind, even though we had more energy-producing resources than any other country.

The elderly and low-income earners were sweltering in summer, half-frozen in winter, because they couldn’t afford to flick power switches, in many case causing fatalities. There were thousands of other unfortunates sleeping in doorways, bus shelters and under bridges; and 1.1 million kids living in poverty.
Then I woke up and to my dismay, I was dreaming about Australia, the so-called lucky country. I’m now thinking about moving off-shore to where those running the country know what they’re doing.
Places like Africa and a number of Middle Eastern countries spring to mind. Any change has got to be for the better.
