"TAFE NSW plays a critical role in training the workforce of tomorrow, particularly in local skills shortage areas like the building trades, childcare and aged care," he said.

"An example of our training for that specific shortage is the range of certificate and diplomas to equip people with the skills they need to pursue employment in this sector, including a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care," he said.
Mr Wilde believes in the importance of ongoing education and lifelong learning and said for many people looking to begin or progress their career now was the perfect time to explore the courses on offer and enrol.
"Recent research by the Grattan Institute indicated that a graduate of a vocational education and training provider like TAFE NSW is likely to start earning more money earlier in their career than an equivalent university graduate," Mr Wilde said.
