Strategically, STA works to increase community engagement in arts and cultural activities. The organisation has a focus on children and youth participating in arts and cultural events.
The role of executive director is vital to implement the vision and the strategic plan of the organisation.
The position requires far reaching skills and experience in building strong partnerships with stakeholders, arts and cultural organisations, individual artists and creatives.
Ms Marin spent six years at the Grafton Regional Gallery and led programs at the gallery and across six library locations in Clarence Valley. Ms Marin received the Museums and Galleries Award for Excellence two years in a row.
Over the past seven years Ms Marin has worked at the National Gallery of Australia as a program producer and lead programmer for the NGA PLAY gallery. NGA PLAY was developed over five installations into a space that attracted almost 200,000 visitors.
Mr Marin will join STA from her home in Queanbeyan Palerang where she lives with her family. She will start her new position in mid-March.
