Goulburn's powder hounds are raring to get back on the white stuff, following the announcement that ski fields will be open from June 22.

But for one local family, it means more than just a chance to hit the slopes.
Snow sports are a multi-generational passion that brings them together every winter.
"We have a unit in Berridale that we invested in together, which we haven't been able to go near since the coronavirus travel restrictions started," said Annette Hartnett, who along with husband Scott spends much of winter at the snow.
"A normal season for us would see my husband working in the snowy region, and the rest of us travelling, sometimes several times a week."
She goes down with her children and grandchildren, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Tracey and Mark Ryan.

"Our kids all participate in the Perisher winter sports club," she said.
"They also compete at the interschool snowsports competition, at regional, state and sometimes national levels."
The younger skiers in the group - Ella Hurtis (13), Lilly Ryan (14), Will Ryan (11), Victoria Cutler (4), Cate Hartnett (3) and Spencer Cutler (2) - can't wait to get back down there.
"We are very excited to be able to visit it again, as well as catch up with all our mountain friends in the coming weeks," said Annette.
"My husband and daughter had to cancel their trip to Japan in March due to coronavirus. So they were devastated about that."
She said that they were still waiting on an official statement from Perisher regarding special conditions for the season
"Rumours have it there will be no Perisher winter sports club this year for the older kids, however they are taking it well," said Annette.
"They are just going to hang out having fun.
"The younger kids were starting their first seasons on the snow.
"But we are already planning around it, hopefully just getting them private lessons together.
"We are told this will be the only lessons going ahead."
Annette said that while they are sad it won't be a normal season, at least they will see some snow time.
At the other end of the scale, Amy and Dougy Woodhouse, who have just moved to Goulburn from Queensland, are thrilled that they will get to visit the snow for the very first time.
"My husband and I were planning on spending a week in July at the snow doing some snow boarding," said Amy.
"We decided we would go even before we knew the fields were going to be open.
"We are new to the area from Queensland and can't wait to experience all that the snowy region has to offer."
As a school teacher, Amy said they are locked into going int he school holidays.
"Hope it's not too busy!" she said.
