The NSW Legislative Council was finding ways in which they could help with the development of the NSW tertiary education sector, including the CUC.
CUC Goulburn chair Guy Milson explained the centre was always aiming to give support to local students.

"It was a pleasure and a privilege to provide education committee members with greater insight into our excellent student facility," Mr Milson said.
"More importantly though, it gave us the chance to highlight the wrap-around support students receive from our centre manager and learning skills advisor.
"Half of CUC Goulburn's students are the first in their family to undertake higher education studies.
"We are ensuring that students can achieve their higher education dreams locally and that these students will provide the qualifications and professional skills needed to sustain and grow our region."

Also at the formal get together was CUC chief executive officer Duncan Taylor who spoke about how much support the students can get from the campus as well as the importance of teaching students how to learn as a lot of them are mature aged students and haven't done so in a while.
"It was pleasing to see the real and keen interest the committee members showed in the CUC and the higher education opportunities we provide regional students," Mr Taylor said.
"I felt that the committee members present had a genuine interest in learning about the CUC and what more could be done to help ensure increased economic development in NSW regional communities through improved higher education opportunities.
"We also would like to acknowledge the support we've received from the NSW and Commonwealth governments."
Also in attendance were CUC Goulburn team members Penny Russell and Bella Lesslie, and CUC students from Charles Sturt University, University of New England and the University of NSW.
Some 112 students are currently registered with CUC Goulburn with most studying education or health related courses.
