The feature was secured as part of the Goulburn Australia Destination Marketing Campaign 'Country life, city heartbeat' which launched in August this year targeting city dwellers who want to escape for a weekend or holiday.
It further highlights what Goulburn has to offer and it's affordability, location and relaxed country lifestyle to those wanting to move.
The feature will focus on the key campaign objective of positioning Goulburn Australia as the number one short break destination to the Sydney audience.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council's Mayor, Bob Kirk said he is excited to welcome the Sydney Weekender crew to Goulburn and have the region showcased on the popular television program.
"This is a great opportunity to promote Goulburn and a number of our tourism operators, focusing on one of our key target audiences. With international travel off the table at the moment we are putting a huge effort into targeting markets like Sydney for short breaks," he said.
"Goulburn, and our wider region, is an amazing destination to spend a day, a weekend or a week, and we think this program will have great success as we approach summer."
The episode is scheduled to air in March 2021 and will showcase numerous local attractions such as Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum, Goulburn Historic Waterworks, the Wollondilly River Walkway, the Self-Guided Heritage Tour, and the Public Art Trail.
A further 'Eating Out' segment will air later in the year and feature two local eateries.
Sydney Weekender features destinations within New South Wales, showcasing the best places to stay, eat and play to help viewers make the most of their weekend.
