These efforts have been affected by the COVID outbreak and associated regulations.
In November 2019, we had to cancel our annual Mile of Pennies.
Consequently, our fingers were crossed for our annual Movie Under the Stars held at Kingsdale Winery.
We adopted COVID guidelines to ensure our patrons were able to enjoy gourmet pizza and the joy of the winery.
On Saturday, February 13, 2021, some 180 people, equipped with coats, hats, scarves and blankets braved questionable weather to help us raise more than $5,000 to go toward an enhanced patient information and entertainment system, costing some $30,000, which will make patient stay in the new hospital less stressful and aid in recovery.
Whilst the weather gods were somewhat against us, we benefited from the generosity of so many of Goulburn's supportive community.
One patron commented that the mizzle - never did 1ml of rain feel so much - added to the experience of watching the film, Rams.
One couple had travelled from Bungendore for the film and to support the hospital as they intend to retire here in the near future and the new hospital makes this move attractive.
I thank Elly and Howard Spark for their generosity in again hosting this event.
Unfortunately, we were not able to experience the spectacular sunsets over Sooley Dam.
Instead, we had the soft, misty colours of a watercolour painting.
I also thank Rotary for their commitment to the community.
The Goulburn Post and other print media outlets, 2GN, Community Radio. Goulburn Workers Club, Tutt Bryant provide invaluable support for our efforts.
The success of the evening is underpinned by the efforts of a dedicated committee. It is my privilege to work with them.
This year, because of the COVID regulations, we were supported by many volunteers who helped with seating patrons and serving the food safely.
I thank them for their efforts in aiding the comfort of the audience.
The BDCU Goulburn Hospital Fundraising Committee is appreciative of the generosity of the Goulburn community and its belief in us as we raise money for the new hospital and patient care.

Walking Track needs de-willowing
It would be a benefit to the river if the remaining willows were removed and the Tully Park section of river be cleaned out removing all the dead willows blocking the flow.
I use the walking track and must commend council on a job well.
It's just a shame the river in areas are semi-blocked and silted up.
Maybe Sydney Water can help in some way to actually clean and clear the section of river.

Seeking information about grandparents
My grandparents were the publicans at the Royal Exchange Hotel in Goulburn during World War I and onwards.
I would appreciate any info at all for my family tree.
Thanking you in advance.
