Indoor hockey returns to Goulburn this weekend and there is also the annual over 35s soccer tournament out at the Cookbundoon Sports Fields.

Starting Friday at 8am the Hockey NSW Masters, Women Indoor Hockey Championships gets underway at the Veolia Arena and the Basketball Stadium.
Goulburn is fielding teams in division one, division three and two teams in division four. In total there are 42 teams listed to play in this pools based competition played over three days with the finals and placings matches on Sunday.
The Veolia Arena will be configured in the two court set up with games run across the stadium rather than one court the length of the stadium. Court three will be in the basketball stadium next door. Teams participating will travel from Coffs Harbour, Parkes, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Bathurst, Orange, Central Coast, Northern Beaches, Illawarra, Greater Sydney region, Southern Highlands, Manning Valley and Newcastle for the three days of competition.
The annual over 35s soccer tournament kicks off on Saturday with new teams to the competition coming from Orange and Queanbeyan City. This gala competition has grown over the years necessitating the move from Goodhew Park out to the fields at Cookbundoon. Tournament organiser Darell Orton said that the games will start at 8.30am on Saturday and are expected to wrap up for the day about 5pm. Players will return to the fields on Sunday for the finals starting at 8.30am.
Junior cricket restarts this evening with the under 10s on Carr Confoy Park from 5pm after their long holiday break. On Saturday U16 Trinity takes on Crookwell at Wexted Oval starting at 8.15am. Trinity U14 Gold plays Wollondilly Gold on Trinity 2 and U14 Wollondilly Green plays Trinity Blue on Seiffert Oval. Under 12 Wollondilly Yellow plays Green on Carr Confoy 2.
Sunday Goulburn U15 rep girls play Far South Coast at 10am and Illawarra at 2pm in a T20 contest on Seiffert Oval. Senior cricket is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
