The Roundhouse was officially opened on May 15, 1918.
It was opened following delays, due to a shortage of labour as a consequence of WWI, in construction.
It was originally planned and commenced in 1913.
While a brief ceremony to mark the occasion was held on May 15, 2018, the major celebration will be held over this weekend – September 29 and 30.
To further enhance the excitement of the occasion it is anticipated that restored vintage steam loco 1076 will be in steam for the weekend.
Other activities will include the attendance of the Veterans and Vintage Car Club, the Classic Car Club and the Old Machinery Clubs.
The Goulburn Pipe Band will be in attendance to provide their own unique sound of pipes and drums.
The Goulburn Lions’ Club will be providing body nourishment through a barbecue.
Another activity to attract the attention of all ages will be the opening of the Argyle Model Railway Club situated on site at the Roundhouse.
The Roundhouse gates will be open from 10am to 3pm on both days.
