Scores have already turned out at booths across the district, including supporters of Hume incumbent and returning candidate Angus Taylor.
Mr Taylor voted in Goulburn South. "...We all get to vote," he said. "That's how we decide our future, and for 115 years we've been doing that in Australia.
"It is a fantastic institution and a reminder of this wonderful country we have ... It's a brilliant day."
In such a geographically vast electorate, other candidates - including Aoife Champion (ALP) and Michaela Sherwood (Greens) are voting closer to home.
