Well, this Sunday, January 15 at 2.30pm, St Saviour’s Cathedral on Bourke Street will ring with worship in an organ recital by Pastor de Lasala from Sacred Heart Church, Mosman.
The cathedral’s original organ was unveiled on July 5 in 1882. The 8pm concert was “the talk of the town,” records show. That organ now resides in Pastor de Lasala’s Mosman parish.
Admission to the Sunday afternoon concert will be by donation through a retiring collection, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The next organ recital will be Sunday, February 19 at 2.30pm, featuring David Drury from Sydney.
